Description: I love this program. PS3 Media Server allows you to steam video, music, and pictures from your computer or laptop to your PlayStation 3. The program has a huge list of options in the configuration menu but I didn't have to touch a single one of them. I just started up the program on my PC and it worked. Before starting the program, please make sure that "Media Server Connection" is turned on in the PlayStation 3's "Network Settings" menu. After that, sit down at your PS3, look under the menus that store your movies, music, and pictures. There, you will see something that says "media server". Select that, and then you can freely browse media on your computer.
I have yet to find videos that PS3 Media Server won't play. Please note: Videos may play slow if you have a slow CPU on your computer or if your wireless connection is weak. Your internet connection is not important, as it is streaming over your home network and not over the internet. As long as you have a decent computer (doesn't have to be high-end or expensive... but something build within the last few years is best) and a solid and stable wireless connection to your router, this program should work very well for you.
